In this message we learn Jesus’ entire life, death, and resurrection was always the plan. It was not a plan that people expected, nor wanted. However, God in his infinite wisdom provided a model of Kingdom living that would go against cultural trends through Jesus’ actions. He then made a way through the cross and resurrection that would actually deal with death and sin in ways nothing else had worked throughout history. This was not expected either. All of it was predicted in Scripture and told by Jesus, until near the end of Jesus’ ministry, and mostly after his resurrection appearances. Jesus clearly showed that God was always going to save and restore his people. It gave even more reason for us to trust him and lay our burdens and anxieties upon him. Jesus and the cross paved the way for the greatest news in history!
